A new member of the Kyloe Restaurant & Grill team has been installed outside The Rutland, forming part of a new strategy to help reduce the impact of the West End tram works on footfall in the area.

Kyla the cow, who has a new home on Rutland Street, has been painted with a diagram depicting five different cuts of meat and those who guess correctly will be entered into a competition to win a Champagne dinner for four people at Kyloe.

The Rutland’s General Manager, Murray Ward, hopes that Kyla will help generate curiosity and interest amongst local people who live and work in the area.

He says: “We decided to do something visual, fun and interactive which will hopefully be a talking point and lift the spirits of passers-by. This is the first of a range of activities we have planned to help remind people that it’s business as usual at Kyloe.”

All competition entries will be put into the final draw which takes place on Saturday 31 March, and the winner will be announced on Monday 2 April 2012.
