UPDATE:-Lothian and Borders Police can advise motorists that disruption on the A90 Northbound, near Cramond Brig, is less than initially feared.

Following a collision earlier today fuel leaked onto the road. As a result a localised traffic management system is in place and is expected to remain in place over the weekend.

In due course, resurfacing work will be required on the roadway

Earlier today the police issued this notice:-

Lothian and Borders Police are warning motorists of significant road disruption on the A90 Northbound, near Cramond Brig, following a road collision.

At around 10am today a coach struck a piece of debris, causing its fuel line to sever and fuel to leak out onto the road.

Major resurfacing work is now underway and is anticipated this will continue over the weekend.

This will impact upon the flow of traffic along the A90 during this time.

Motorists are urged to avoid the road if possible and consider alternative routes.
