Three artists, Alice McMurrough PAI, RGI, Marie Louise Wrightson and Jenny Holm, inspired by folklore, fairy tales, legends and books, come together for The Leith Gallery’s Festival exhibition. Alice’s women are no shrinking violets who need a Prince or woodsman to rescue them. These ladies are doing for themselves! Marie journeys to Wonderland and finds it a joyous experience. Jenny sometimes shows us the darker side but whether dark or more light hearted her pieces intrigue the viewer.

Alice McMurrough also shows a political edge in her ”Tea Party” where the Mad Hatter could easily be mistaken for David Cameron. Is ”Alice” really Alice of Wonderland or could she be Scotia throwing down the gauntlet and perhaps overturning the table?
