Police in Edinburgh are carrying out inquiries after a 59 year old man was injured on Saturday, February 15 in Wester Hailes Road, Edinburgh.

Sergeant Papakyriakou of the Trunk Road Patrol Group said, “The man, who was involved in a collision with a marked police van which was on routine patrol in the area around 11.30pm, is being treated for non life threatening injuries in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

Inquiries are ongoing and I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information to contact Police Scotland on 101 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800555111”
