A march organised by the Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland will take place in the centre of Edinburgh this Saturday 13 September 2014, requiring a number of road closures.

People planning to travel to and across the city centre should be aware that several main roads in the area will be closed between 10.30am and 2pm, including The Mound, George IV Bridge, Market Street, Jeffrey Street, Forrest Road, Canongate and Abbeyhill (NB that Abbeyhill will be closed until 3pm between Canongate and Croft an Righ).

These road closures are likely to cause delays and congestion, so members of the public are advised to plan their journeys carefully and allow for extra time.

Diversions will also be in place for a number of buses; passengers are advised to check with the relevant public transport provider prior to travelling.

Around 12,000 participants are expected for the event, which starts from the Meadows at 11am and is due to finish on Regent Road by 2pm.
