Megan Juniper is bringing the ups and down of online dating to this year’s Fringe with Love Me Tinder Cabaret.
According to Tinder, there are an estimated 50 million online daters on Tinder alone. With more and more people turning to the Internet to find a date, Megan plays on her naive nature to exposure the adult themes linked to online dating.
The show relies on the content of personal experiences and the comparison with the ideal movie romances, like Hugh Grant in Notting Hill pouring orange juice down a stranger’s top and thus sparking romance.
The cabaret includes fast paced comedy and is accompanied by live music and vocals, including songs such as Shania Twain’s That Don’t Impress Me Much and Rhianna’s S & M. The style or lyrics of some of the songs have been adapted to fit with the topic; for example, That Don’t Impress Me Much is used to talk about identifying people’s personalities by their profile picture.
Please be advised that the guide age for this show is 18+.
