2011_10 Police signs 12

Police are following a positive line of inquiry after a man was stabbed on Oxgangs Drive yesterday lunchtime.

The victim is in a serious condition in hospital and officers have urged witnesses to come forward.

Inspector David Ferguson said: “We’re carrying out inquiries after a male in his 20s was attacked and stabbed in Oxgangs Drive shortly before 1pm on Tuesday.

“Paramedics attended to the injured male and transferred him to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where he remains in a serious condition.

“I’m satisfied that this is an isolated incident and we are currently pursuing a positive line of inquiry.”

Anyone who has information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

  1. “I’m satisfied that this is an isolated incident” This is not an isolated incident. Please check Council and Police reports from last 2 years. Drug Trafficking, Crime, Anti Social Behaviour had been reported number of times and NO REACTION from the Council or from the Police.
