Until 28 August 2016 the members of the Theatre de la Pire Espece will bring UBU on the Table to the UK for the very first time – and they will do it on a table!

This is puppetry with politics and is intended for those over the age of 14. It involves a vinegar bottle called Pere Ubu who is power-hungry, Captain Bordure who is a hammer as the main characters with other miscellaneous kitchen utensils in support. The two actor-puppeteers hammer out a small-scale fresco of grandiose buffoonery.

All bets are off as Poland’s fate is secured on a table top.

Two armies of French baguettes are in a stand-off. Tomatoes explode. An egg beater hovers over fleeing troops. Get the picture? Get along and enjoy it then!
