Emergency services including police, firefighters and an air ambulance was called to a two-vehicle collision at 7.50am this morning which took  place on the A1 north of Dunbar.

The road was closed northbound from the Spott roundabout to Bowerhouse and diversions were in place from 8.40am.

Both drivers are believed to be injured.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We were called to a two-vehicle collision involving a Kia car and a Ford Transit Van at 7.48am on Friday.

“The location is approximately half a mile north of Dunbar on the northbound carriageway of the A1.

“There are tailbacks northbound and ambulance and fire crews are also in attendance.”
