Scotland’s leading licensed sword seller, The Knight’s Vault, located in Edinburgh’s historic Grassmarket, reopens this week following a refit to extend the display of its sword collection. An extended range of new, unique products have been added to the collection in time for Christmas, due to high demand.

The Knight’s Vault, home to the biggest display of commercial armoury in the UK, has added to its unique collection with new replica swords from Game of Thrones, The Hobbit and Outlander, as well as those from games such as World of Warcraft, Assassin’s Creed and Legend of Zelda. Distinctive items such as the Oathkeeper sword – a replica of the sword owned by Jamie Lannister and given to Brienne of Tarth – in the Game of Thrones TV series are already very popular.

Most of the swords on display are handmade in Scotland from blade smiths in Calder, Dumfries and Edinburgh. Swords available also include reproductions of those used in Braveheart and by Robert the Bruce, Samurai swords and Viking swords. The Knight’s Vault also offers a range of replica medieval helmets, antiques, short blades, handmade jewellery and kids’ collectables. The surname history poster also remains one of the most popular gift items for the retailer. Items can also be made to order and engraved. The Knight’s Vault sales assistant Charis is also Scotland’s
only female blade smith and is on hand to offer personal gift recommendations for people looking for an unusual Christmas idea.

Colin Hope, owner of The Knight’s Vault, says: “We are really excited to relaunch the store with fantastic new products and a new display for our diverse sword collection.

We try to make sure our customers get exactly what they want and specialise in made-to-order items, making our unique products the perfect Christmas gift for someone who has everything.”
