Getting to the Highland Show has been made simple with thanks to Lothian buses.

By simply heading to one of their designated stops you can hop on a 98 or 97 service and arrive directly outside the Show within approximately 25 minutes, even during rush hour.

As well as buses the tram is now another easy way to get to Ingliston. For more information click here

Dean Anderson, Customer Experience Manager at Edinburgh Trams, explained: “We’re gearing up for what promises to be one of the busiest weekends of the year, and we’ve been working closely with show organisers to ensure visitors enjoy a fantastic day out.

“Whilst one of our trams has been wrapped in specially commissioned, eye-catching artwork to promote the event, we’ve also teamed up with organisers to offer discounted travel for show ticket holders.

“Over the coming days we’re also running a ‘Tram Bingo Challenge’ to keep younger visitors entertained during their journeys to and from the showground, with an iPad up for grabs.

“With journey times of around 30 minutes between Edinburgh Airport, Ingliston Park & Ride and the city centre, services every seven minutes over the weekend and adult return tickets for just £3.20, let the tram take the strain.”

The Royal Highland Show has joined forces with Edinburgh Tram to create a joint ticket to include travel and entry to the show.

Arriving at the entrance, we could see fleets of cars parked in what looked like never-ending symmetrical rows.

It seems to us that public transport is the way to get to the show.
