The very first names have now been announced for the latest in festivals to come to the Festival City – and they are big!

Tom Jones will join the lineup on 6 August 2018.

Rag ‘n Bone Man – no stranger to Edinburgh as he was the headline act at Edinburgh’s Hogmanay – will play on 14 August 2018.

Paloma Faith will perform on 17 August 2018

Kasabian – who headlined Hogmanay a few years ago – will be back to rock your socks off on 18 August.

Geoff Ellis, CEO of DF Concerts who are behind the new festival said: “We’re delighted to return to Princes Street Gardens and  announce our first artists for the inaugural series of Edinburgh Summer Sessions shows. With the success of its sister event Glasgow Summer Sessions, we’re thrilled to be part of Edinburgh’s electrifying atmosphere and culturally rich arts festival with these gigs.

“To have a legend like Tom Jones plus mainstays of the industry like Kasabian and Paloma Faith and the undeniably talented Rag’n’Bone Man proves our commitment to making Edinburgh Summer Sessions one of the real highlights of the summer.”

Edinburgh Summer Sessions is a breakaway from its sister festival in Glasgow and will stage shows at the Ross Bandstand in Princes Street Gardens with that fabulous backdrop of the Castle.
