Inverleith were due to host Western Wildcats in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals at Peffermill on Sunday, the game coming after Western beat the Edinburgh club 4-1 in Division One just over a week ago.

Andrew McConnell scored a treble in the game and he will have to wait for the re-arranged fixture to add to his goal tally in the cup.

Stuart Neave, Inverleith’s coach, reported at 10.20am that the game was postponed as three inches of snow were lying on the pitch.

Grange were due to host Dundee Wanderers (12.30) at Fettes hoping to bounce back after the disappointment of drawing 1-1 at the same venue against Western on Saturday but the overnight snowfall caused the game to be postponed.

Word is filtering through from referee sources that Clydesdale, who are due to entertain Bromac Kelburne at Titwood (15.30), could have survived the cold snap.

Grove Menzieshill were due to host Edinburgh University (16.00) at Dundee International Sports Centre however that also fell victim to the weather.

The sides met at Peffermill earlier this month and Grove were comfortable 4-0 winners.
