Merchiston have fifteen players either involved in rugby up to international level last weekend, or who will compete in under 16s next month.
Director of Rugby, Roddy Deans, commented :“For a small school this is an incredible achievement. To have fifteen players representing Scotland from U16 through to full international is a real testament to the rugby programme at Merchiston. Our team of coaches were very proud to see so many boys playing international rugby.”
This adds to the rich rugby tradition at the school. 67 Merchistonians have been capped at full international level and 3 Merchistonians have been capped for the British and Irish Lions.
