Mark Heritage of East Coast Buses and Councillor Norman Hampshire

Earlier today East Coast Buses opened a new Travelshop in Musselburgh. This gives them a High Street presence in the town which they consider important for the local community. You can go there for any kind of tickets or advice before you travel on East Coast or Lothian buses.

We think the best kept secret is that you can get a ticket to take you from South Queensferry to Dunbar, jumping on and off the bus as often as you wish to… Details of the £9 Network Day Ticket are here.

Mark Heritage, General Manager, EastCoastBuses commented: Our continued and ongoing investment in East Coast buses has seen significant improvements for both the East Lothian community and our staff. Our dedicated team now provide a comprehensive and great travel experience for over 70,000 customers per week across East Lothian.

“As our business grows, the opening of our new Travelshop in Musselburgh, together with our current city centre Lothian shops, will ensure we have a strong high street presence where our customers can find the information they require at their convenience in a modern, comfortable and welcoming environment.”

Councillor Norman Hampshire, East Lothian Council added: “Since it first started operation in 2016 East Coast Buses has proved to be a very welcome addition to our county, providing a life line for the community across East Lothian. Transport plays a key role in the area providing vital links and services for residents and visitors of all ages and contributing to the success of the wider economy. It is extremely encouraging to see further investment by way of a retail high street presence. The opening of this new Travelshop follows on from major garage refurbishment at Musselburgh and highlights East Coast Buses ongoing commitment to delivering a fantastic service for its staff and customers.”

To mark the opening of the shop, EastCoastBuses staff handed out pastries to customers in and around Musselburgh this morning.
