Jef Hutchins back at Fife for a third season

Former Edinburgh Capitals forward Jeff Hutchins is back for a third season as assistant coach to Fife Flyers.

The Edinburgh-based playcaller will back-up head coach Todd Dutiaume.

And the former Dundee Stars player/coach said: “Todd and I are focused and ready to push this great club to the next level.”

Dutiaume will lead Fife Flyers into his what will be his 21st season with the Kirkcaldy-based Elite League side.

It’s Flyers’ eighth Elite League campaign and last season the Fifers won their first silverware, the Gardiner Conference Championship.

Dutiaume and Hutchins also secured a place in the play-off final four and the head coach said: “Last season was my most enjoyable as a coach in the Elite League.

“Winning helps, but having good people around you is key.

“I’ll once again be working beside Jeff who has become a good friend and who has a work-rate which is second to none.

“Together we hope to once again put together a team that our loyal support can identify with and get behind.”
