Stockbridge Restaurant was featured in the May edition of our newspaper with a glowing review from EdinBraw.

Now they have decided to open for brunch and lunch on Saturdays and Sundays offering you even more chances to try out the menu at the Two AA rosette restaurant. Chef Jason Gallagher has created a relaxed, affordable menu for the weekends.

For lunch you choose from duck confit with cassoulet bean stew and seared Shetland salmon and for brunch you are offered garlic field mushrooms on toasted brioche, crab cakes with cherry tomato salsa.

All of the restaurant’s ingredients are locally sourced with cheese from IJ Mellis just along the road.

Now the restaurant wants to offer something a bit different with a more casual bistro feel than in the evening. There will be tapas size portions alongside starters and larger plates and proprietor Jane Walker will suggest a Drink of the Day to accompany your meal.

The Stockbridge Restaurant will serve lunch Saturdays and Sundays between 12:30 and 2:00pm, starting on Saturday 5th May. Dishes begin at ÂŁ3.50 for tapas, average ÂŁ9 for a main course portion.

The cosy basement restaurant offers just 40 covers which will be sure to fill fast so book ahead.
