Armadale Stadium will look back by hosting a 1990s Decade Night as part of the club’s 70th anniversary celebrations.

And there will be some special guests as The Staggs Bar Monarchs face Redcar Bears (7.30pm).

The SGB Championship meeting also marks Richie Worrall’s Monarchs debut and he joins the squad alongside the return of Max Clegg.

The 90s brought some exciting moments in the history of the Monarchs including two Knockout Cup triumphs.

And three vital members of the cup winning sides will be there, Kenny McKinna, Kevin Little and James Grieves.

There is the strong possibility that another special guest may be in attendance.

McKinna said: “The 90s was a special time for the Monarchs, including moving to Armadale Stadium in 97.

“Taking the Knockout Cup in that year was fantastic. I’ve been on to Peter [Carr] to get him up on Friday so hopefully he will be there too.”

The cup winners will be at the entrance to pose for photographs and to sign free giveaway posters from 6:30pm and tickets for Friday’s match are available now.
