An endangered crowned lemur recently born at RZSS Edinburgh Zoo holds tight to mum Mabanja. The one month old will cling to its mother’s back for around four months before becoming more independent.

Crowned lemurs, like all lemur species, are native to Madagascar and listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List due to habitat destruction for cultivation, logging and forest fires.
