The City of Edinburgh Council have appointed Collective Architecture to consider the opportunities for Granton Waterfront. They want to develop a new vision for the area in a masterplan which will be devised by March 2019.  The planning committee will then approve it as planning guidance only.

There are information stations where you can take a look at more details of the project at the North West Locality office, West Pilton Neighbourhood Centre, Muirhouse Library, Pennywell All Care Centre, Edinburgh College, Royston/Wardieburn Community Centre, Granton Library and Madelvic House.

In 2007 city architects Allan Murray devised a masterplan for the gasometer which forms a part of the area. You can read more about their ideas here.

The Council and Collective are holding an event tomorrow to tell members of the public about the work that they and their team have been doing over the past few weeks.

They want to get your views on this and will welcome any input that you can provide at this stage to help shape the future vision for Granton Waterfront.

The latest report on the regeneration of Granton Waterfront here was presented to the Housing and Economy Committee on 1 November and there is more information on the council’s consultation hub here where you can also have your say.

Thursday 8th November 2pm-7pm in Madelvic House 33 Granton Park Avenue, EH5 1HS
