Hibs poor run of results continued yesterday with a 3-0 defeat to on-form Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Neil Lennon made three changes to the starting XI that drew with Dundee last Saturday with Darren McGregor, Steven Whittaker and Miquel Nelom replacing Daryl Horgan, Jamie Maclaren and Lewis Stevenson.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 6th minute when Eamonn Brophy fired home from close range.

Martin Boyle went close after good work by Whittaker but it was Kilmarnock who enjoyed most of the possession.

Kilmarnock were awarded a penalty kick in the 33rd minute after Jordan Jones was fouled by McGregor and Brophy grabbed his second of the day from the spot

Lennon made two changes at the half time break with Oli Shaw and Horgan replacing Whittaker and McGregor.

Hibs almost pulled one back shortly after the restart when Horgan’s low drive was well saved by Daniel Bachmann.

Just as the visitors were starting to control the game a floodlight failure meant a delay until power was restored.

When the lights came back on Hibs continued to press forward but were unable to find the net.

Another power cut in the 67th minute ensured a further lengthy delay and the large travelling support were hoping for an abandonment but it was not to be.

In time added on Greg Stewart added a third for Kilmarnock dinking the ball over Adam Bogdam.
