Aaron Robertson netted five goals as Murrayfield Racers whipped Solway Stingrays 15-2 at Murrayfield.

It was 6-0 after the first session and 11-2 following the middle period.

Elsewhere, Dundee Stars completed a pointless weekend with a 3-0 home defeat by Nottingham Panthers.

The Tayside team, beaten 4-2 at Cardiff Devils on Saturday, were 2-0 down after the first session.

And Luke Pither finished off Stars with a third after 53 minutes.
Matt Beca netted a glory treble as Glasgow Clan cut down Sheffield Steelers 6-3 to complete a perfect weekend.

Coach Peter Russell’s squad, who edged Fife Flyers 3-2 at Kirkcaldy on Saturday, claimed two goals in 32 seconds from Beca and in-form Rasmus Bjerrum to go 2-0 ahead before the first break.

Brendan Connolly increased their lead to 3-0 after 1min 1sec of the middle session.

And it was Connolly who eventually slammed the door shut on the Yorkshire side with an unassisted sixth goal after 56 minutes.
