The beach near Dunbar Golf Club proved the best spot for anglers who contested the Dunbar Rover event hosted by Bass Rock Sea Angling League.

A total of 16 anglers braved freezing temperatures to take part and cod and rockling were hooked.

Andy Brown from Musselburgh was placed first with one cod weighing 3lb 7oz with Craig Ogilvie from North Berwick second with two fish weighing a total of 2lb 3oz.

Stephen Nairn from Bonnyrigg was third with 1lb 13oz and James McHale also from Bonnyrigg who was fourth with 1lb 4oz.

The 11th round of the 13-round event is on February 6 and it is a three-horse race for the title with Barry McEwan from Port Seton vying with David Cooper from Bingham in Edinburgh and Craig Ogilvie from North Berwick leading the charge.
