The Positive Future over 60s lunch group is a small friendly group of people that meets at Priestfield Parish Church on Dalkeith Road.

Nila Joshi from the group explained : “We provide a three course, freshly cooked, traditional South Asian lunch for our members. The lunch club provides the service to people living in the Southside of Edinburgh who are disadvantaged through isolation, age, ethnicity and range of other barriers.

“We work with isolated senior citizens from South Asian communities, but the Positive Future lunch group is open to anyone living in the city of Edinburgh.

“We also organise day trips to local places of interest, and in summer months we organise short woodland walks as well.

“In addition, we offer gentle exercise, health talks and  speakers from other professional bodies to the group. The group meets every Monday from 12 noon – 2.30 pm at Priestfield Parish Church.”
