Scotland’s sea fishing bosses are urgently seeking one lady to compete their five-strong squad for an international clash with Ireland in the summer.

Four ladies – one from Dumfries, two from Cumbria who have Scottish parents and another from Dundee – have confirmed they will travel.

Kirkcaldy-based Mike Horn, president of the Scottish Federation of Sea Anglers, said they need one more lady to come forward.

The next team get-together is on March 10 from 10am in Arbroath (meet at McDonald’s).

Dundee-based coach Kevin Lewis, who is just back from the world championships in South Africa, will be there to give the squad a briefing on the fixture.

He will also provide coaching during a two-hour stint on the beach at Arbroath.

Horn said: “We have four confirmed and need another lady to come forward and commit to this international.

“Kevin will give full instruction on the day and provide an insight into the match.”
