Edinburgh-based Ludlow Wealth Management Group is growing its presence in the city with the appointment of Gillian Gourlay as its new consultant.

Gillian, who has 12 years’ experience in the financial services sector joins Ludlow from Close Brother’s Asset Management, where she was a paraplanner. Prior to her role there, she worked at Standard Life providing technical advice and guidance for clients.

In 2017 Ludlow Wealth Management acquired Whyte Sharp to help build its presence in Scotland and in that time the firm has been expanding its footprint across the UK with offices in Edinburgh, Southport, Liverpool, Preston, The Fylde and Blackburn.

Ian Hemmingway, chief executive of Ludlow, said, “Gillian is a welcome addition to the team in Edinburgh and brings with her a wealth of experience that our clients are looking for from their advisers. With her expertise and knowledge, she’ll help clients achieve their financial objectives and will be a valuable member of our team.”

Gillian, who holds a CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning said: “I joined Ludlow because of the firm’s excellent reputation and its commitment to putting the client at the heart of everything Ludlow does.

“It’s often widely said, but the commitment to quality and excellent service underpins everything that the business does and complements its ethos of helping clients live their lives without worrying about their finances. This is what attracted me to working at Ludlow.”
