Elite League: Fife Flyers 3, Guildford Flames 2 (after penalty shots)

Former Edinburgh Capitals star Mike Cazzola and Danick Gauthier kept their cool to slot penalty shots as Fife Flyers edged Guildford Flames in a tense Elite League tussle at the Fife Ice Arena.

The Surrey-based combine had the best possible start, scoring after 27 seconds.

Fife levelled through Brett Bulmer on the power play after 22 minutes but just over three minutes after that they were behind for a second time.

Marcus Basara levelled at 2-2 with less than nine minutes left and the scoreline stayed that way until the final whistle sending the game into sudden death overtime and then penalty shots.

Elite League: Glasgow Clan 0, Nottingham Panthers 4

Glasgow Clan skidded to their sixth straight defeat when they were beaten 4-0 at home by Nottingham Panthers.

On Sunday, Murrayfield Racers are on duty (face-off 6pm) when they host Solway Stingrays while in the Elite League Dundee Stars entertain league leaders Cardiff Devils and Fife are at home to Nottingham Panthers.
