Elite League: Nottingham Panthers 4, Dundee Stars 1; Milton Keynes Lightning 3, Coventry Blaze 6; Sheffield Steelers 4, Fife Flyers 1.

Dundee Stars’ play-off hopes suffered a dent last night (SAT) when they were beaten at Nottingham Panthers.

Jaynen Rissling and Alexandre Bolduc scored after eight and 11 minutes and Dylan Richard and Chris Stewart added two more after 34 and 38 minutes.

Brian Hart scored a consolation for the Scots with less than three minutes left.

One of Dundee’s main rivals for a top eight place, Coventry Blaze, beat bottom club Milton Keynes Lightning 6-3 in Buckinghamshire with four goals coming from the Midlands club in the final session.

And Fife Flyers also slipped up when they lost 3-1 at Sheffield Steelers who went ahead through Robert Dowd after ten minutes.

Carlo Finucci levelled in the 37th minute but Eric Nelley scored after 44 minutes and Dowd netted his second two minutes later.

Nelley added his second and Sheffield’s fourth on the power play after 56 minutes after Fife hit late penalty trouble.
