It was on 3 June 1953 that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was crowned in a ceremony at Westminster Cathedral.
To mark the anniversary of the coronation a 21 gun salute was fired today at Edinburgh Castle by 16 Regiment Royal Artillery.
