A new residential development comprising a selection of apartments, colonies and townhouses will be launched on the capital’s waterfront next month.

Located in Leith, CALA Homes’ (East) Waterfront Plaza will launch its first phase on Saturday 13th July. A selection of one, two and three bedroom apartments and colony apartments and duplexes will be available for sale.

Offering buyers the ultimate urban lifestyle, the properties at the development have been designed with light and space in mind, boasting flexible open-plan living spaces perfect for contemporary living. Many also benefit from inviting terraces or balconies for enjoying the summer months and vibrant surroundings.

Philip Hogg, Sales and Marketing Director at CALA Homes (East), said: “Leith’s waterfront is truly famous – what a thrill and responsibility to be delivering new homes here.

“There has been a real demand for a range of quality homes in and around Leith, thanks to its great
connections into the city centre and the abundance of local amenities – from high-end restaurants to family-friendly attractions.

“The selection of homes on offer should help feed this demand, while also providing enough choice for a
range of demographics, from young families through to professionals.”

As well as bringing modern housing to Leith, CALA has also given a contemporary twist to one of the city’s
most iconic styles of home – the colony. First built in 1850, the housetype is widely recognised as a defining feature of Edinburgh’s architectural history.

Philip added: “Waterfront Plaza has such a variety of property types on offer which tap into Leith’s proud sense of community, while enhancing it with cleverly designed green spaces and an eclectic mix of retail units.

“It is a real milestone for us to finally bring Waterfront Plaza to the market. The site had lain derelict for
decades prior to our team starting work.

“We’re hoping that the transformation will breathe new life into the area and continue to establish
Leith as one of the city’s most vibrant hotspots.”

The new homes at Waterfront Plaza will benefit from nearby Michelin starred restaurants and popular bars
situated along The Shore, as well as a host of independent shops and boutiques.

With Ocean Terminal on its doorstep, the development is in easy reach of a range of leisure facilities –
including restaurants and a gym – as well as the famous Royal Yacht Britannia.

Regular bus services and nearby cycle paths provide convenient access to Edinburgh’s city centre, and the city bypass is in easy reach, proving access to the M8 and M9, as well as the A90.

A variety of showhomes will be available to view at Waterfront Plaza later in the year. For more information, or to register interest in the Waterfront Plaza development, click here
