The Royal Scots Club on Abercromby Place has been celebrating the centenary of its opening all year.

Last night they held the RSC 100 Beating Retreat Dinner when 250 guests were entertained by 1 Scots Pipes and Drums and the Lowland Military Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.

The Rt Hon Lord Provost of the City of Edinburgh Frank Ross took the salute.

Guests enjoyed a marvellous dinner of smoked salmon, roast chicken supreme and vanilla panna cotta with fresh Craigie Farm strawberries.
