A paid maximum from Rasmus Jensen fired injury-hit Glasgow Tigers to top spot in the SGB Championship.

Tigers’ 48-42 win at Somerset Rebels takes them two points clear at the summit and they have three meetings in hand over former pace-setters Leicester Lions.

It is the fifth time in-form Tigers have won on the road in six meetings this season.

And that means they have claimed at least a point from their 11 championship meetings so far, ten of them wins.

Cami Brown’s powered to a 10-2 lead after two races but Rebels hit back to go ahead by two points.

Jensen and captain Craig Cook proved too strong in heats 13 and 15 scoring maximum points in both to seal the victory despite missing Paul Starke through injury.

Team manager Brown said he was “over the moon” at the result and added: “It was remarkable effort from the boys.”
