Rasmus Jensen of Glasgow Tigers top scored with nine points guesting for Edinburgh Monarchs but the West Lothian-based side skidded to a 56-34 defeat in the SGB Premiership at Scunthorpe Scorpions.

Jensen was standing-in for Sam Masters and the next best Monarchs racer was Josh Pickering with eight points.

The visitors got off to a flyer, winning the first heat 5-1, but Scorpions were level at 9-9 after the third race.

Edinburgh requested a track inspection after Heat Four but the match continued and Scorpions piled on the pressure with three 5-1 heat wins between races six and nine.

And they finished Edinburgh off with a 5-1 in the final race with Josh Auty winning to complete his 15-point maximum as Edinburgh came away empty handed

Elsewhere, Berwick Bandits star Aaron Summers top scored with 13 points as he guested for second-placed Leicester Lions who beat Sheffield Tigers 53-37 in the Midlands.

Glasgow now lead the 11-strong table with 35 points from 12 matches, two ahead of Lions but with three matches in hand.
