But Stars fans are in seventh-heaven after back-to-back wins. Saturday’s shock 6-3 victory in Glasgow was followed by a 7-2 triumph in Dundee.

It took Stars only 42 seconds to open their account with Anthony Beauregard netting.

Less than three minutes later they were 2-0 ahead with Elgin Pearce scoring on the power play and it was 3-0 when Duncan Spiers converted after nine minutes.

Scott Pitt Replied for crestfallen Clan two minutes later but that did not stop rampant Dundee.

Reilly O’Connor scored No 4 after 26 minutes and Kevin Dufour increased Fitzgerald’s agony with a fifth on the power play after 34 minutes.

And only 35 seconds after that it was 6-1 when Pearce claimed his second also on the power play.

Nolan LaPorte pulled one back for Clan on the power play with 39 seconds left of the second period but Beauregard netted his second after 49 minutes to complete the socreline.
