Racecourse revelling is on the cards at this weekend’s Edinburgh Cup Race Day at Musselburgh Racecourse.

Saturday evening’s top flight racing action, which includes the £40,000 Edinburgh Cup, also features a rich menu of on-course entertainment with music provided at the new Courtyard Stage by Blondie tribute act Dirty Harry and supported by local bands Chameleon Lady and The Flavours.

Craft beers from Caledonian Brewery and botanical-inspired cocktails supplied from the Edinburgh Gin Tipple Trailer will help keep the party going and for peckish race goers, street food vendors include Chick + Pea, Wood Fired Pizza and Well Hung & Tender.

Musselburgh have also partnered with leading Edinburgh venues Lulu and Eastside and a special party bus which will pick up racegoers at Waterloo Place at 1.30pm and return to George Street from the racecourse at 8.15pm. The party bus, priced £7.50, must be booked in advance with a general admission ticket.

For post-racing revellers, Lulu is offering Musselburgh customers free admission while Eastside will serve up a free Eastside Apple cocktail, both on provision of an Edinburgh Cup admission ticket.

Gates open on Saturday at 2pm, the first race is off at 4.05pm and the last race is at 7.15pm after which the Courtyard Stage gets in to full swing.

All hospitality packages are sold out and with advance tickets sales doing well, Musselburgh is expected a large weekend attendance.
