Hearts have been dealt another blow in their already troubled season with the news that striker Conor Washington has been ruled out of action for the next three months.

The Northern Ireland internationalist came on as a substitute in Hearts 3-2 defeat by Motherwell at Tynecastle on Saturday but stretched for the ball at the Gorgie end of the field and sustained a tear to his hamstring.

It’s the latest in a catalogue of injuries to affect Hearts in the past twelve months.
