Tweeddale Millennium boss Jacko Jackson has confirmed that his Winter League will start on Saturday, November 2.

There are ten rounds and the entry is £20. There are cash prizes. Anglers kill their first two fish and they weigh the rest and then return them and the title holder is John Clark from the Borders.

Lures and buzzers have been the most successful recent patterns at the fishery near Gifford which is known for its hard-fighting trout.

Meanwhile, Bass Rock Sea Angling League hold the latest round in their popular winter series on Wednesday, October 30 at a venue to be confirmed. Start time is 7pm with registration at 6.30pm.

The league runs every second two weeks throughout the winter at different locations in the Lothians and Borders and new members are always welcome.
