Social enterprises in Edinburgh are invited to attend a free workshop on social investment and its benefits on 10 October at Grassmarket Community Project.

The workshop aims to help organisations understand the role of investment in helping them grow, become more sustainable and deliver greater social impact.

Participants can learn about using loans, shares and grants as part of a financial mix.

They will also be given tips on raising finance to grow and develop activities and steps to become investment ready.

Lindsay Wake, head of impact for host Social Investment Scotland (SIS), said: “Whether charities, social enterprises, community enterprises, advisors or individuals, we encourage anyone with a social enterprise vision to come along.”
