Hibernian Community Foundation is the charitable arm of the Club established in 2008 to use football and the brand name  to improve people’s lives across Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Despite being a wealthy City, Edinburgh contains significant areas of deprivation. In Leith 34% of children live in relative poverty, well above the City average of 23% and childhood obesity rates are in excess of 20%.

The Foundation works hard to alleviate deprivation in Edinburgh across a number of key areas, working with all sections of the community, and all ages.

The Foundation is now keen to engage with Hibs supporters and tap into their experience of living in local communities to let them understand local need better.

This will help them identify the types of projects they should be delivering.

In addition the charity want to provide opportunities for fans to become directly involved in Foundations activities through, for example, volunteering in programmes and/or fundraising.

The survey can be taken on the Foundations’ website.

The Foundation will publish the results of the survey in mid November.
