Jared Aulin netted a penalty shot as bottom club Manchester Storm edged Fife Flyers at Kirkcaldy.

Fife had earlier battled back from 3-1 down to level and send the game into sudden death overtime and then penalty shots.

In the West of Scotland, lowly Guildford Flames shocked Elite League pace-setters Glasgow Clan.

Kruise Reddick ended the contest with an empty net goal with 57 seconds left. Earlier, Ian Watters, Jamie Crooks and T J Foster netted for Flames. Matt Beca and Chad Rau scored for Clan.

Kevin Dufour and Jordan Cownie both netted doubles as second-bottom Dundee Stars thrashed fourth-placed Coventry Blaze 7-3 on Tayside.
