Elite League: Glasgow Clan 2, Belfast Giants 5; Manchester Storm 5, Fife Flyers 2; Coventry Blaze 6, Dundee Stars 4

Fife Flyers let slip at 2-1 lead to skid to a 5-2 Elite League defeat at fellow-strugglers Manchester Storm.

Danick Gauthier and Carlo Finucci had powered Fife ahead after 29 minutes with Henrik Samuelsson replying.

But Storm fired a four-goal salvo in 11 nightmare minutes to sink the league’s bottom club coached by Todd Dutiaume (pictured).

Coventry Blaze edged past struggling Dundee Stars thanks to two third-period strikes. Stars were 3-0 behind after 17 minutes but battled back to level after 37 minutes thanks to goals from Kevin Dufour, Anthony Beauregard, Brett Stovin and Drydn Dow.

But Dillon Lawrence scored after 42 minutes for the home side and John Curran ended the contest with a sixth five minutes later.

And Glasgow Clan slipped to their fourth defeat in six games when they were put to the sword by Belfast Giants.

Coach Zack Fitzgerald saw his men ship five unanswered goals between the 11th and 25th minutes.

Then Clan replied with strikes from new signing Marcus Jonsson after 27 minutes and Matt Beca on the power play after 42 minutes, but it was too little too late.

SUNDAY’S FIXTURES: Fife v Nottingham (5.30pm) and Dundee v Cardiff (5pm).
