Setting out its stall as a new restaurant in the Canongate, Chessel’s, the former Mexican Panchos Villas, has now revealed a new lunch and dinner menu.

The restaurant, which showcases quality Scottish ingredients, with daily specials, is owned by restaurateur Ruori Stewart, who made his name at The Apartment in Bruntsfield.

He has given Chessel’s a new identity, naming his new restaurant after the historic courtyard behind it at 240 Canongate. A number of exciting new foodie events are planned for later in the Summer.

With one course at £9.50, two at £15 and three for £19, the lunch menu at Chessel’s offers dishes such as beer battered haggis balls, halloumi & sweet potato skewers, and poached fruit fool.

Dinner at £12 for one course, two for £17 and three at £22- excellent value for tourists and local alike to experience Chessel’s tasty and inventive dishes! Dinner highlights include smoked haddock chowder, buttermilk chicken skewers and treacle tart.
